In addition to its garbage and recycling service, Lithgow City Council also provides a greenwaste collection service during the growing season and a biannual "clean up" for the collection of bigger domestic items.

Greenwaste Collection Dates

Council will pick up:

• Garden prunings...no longer than 2 metres, not thicker than 200mm and tied in bundles.
• Lawn clippings and leaves must be placed in a durable container, cardboard box or hessian / plastic bag.
• Weight limit of 16 kilograms for each bundle or box.
• Quantity of 1 cubic metre (about 4 wheelie bins) for each collection.
  

How do I arrange a collection?

Phone Council on 6354 9999 in the week prior to the arranged collection date, if you have material to be picked up.

On the SUNDAY NIGHT of the collection week, simply put your materials at the kerbside where you leave your mobile garbage bin.

Material left for collection will be removed on either the Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday following the collection date.
