Lithgow City Council is seeking expressions of interest from organisations that utilise Council’s sporting or recreational facilities to be nominated as members of Council’s Sports Advisory Committee.

Organisations are encouraged to nominate one (1) primary delegate, as well as one (1) alternative delegate to actively participate as constructive members of the Sports Advisory Committee.

The Sports Advisory Committee’s primary responsibilities include the promotion of fair and equal use of Council’s sporting and recreational facilities, and to generally advise Council on sporting and recreational issues, including determining applications to use Council’s facilities and determination of monthly and annual sports awards.

Successful nominees will be required to attend monthly meetings of the Sports Advisory Committee, as well as abide by Council’s Code of Conduct and OHS system objectives and instructions, and the Committee’s Terms of Reference .

Expressions of interest will close at 4.00pm on Friday, 22 May 2009. Information packages are available from Council’s Customer Service Division, Administration Building, 180 Mort Street, Lithgow, or can be downloaded from Council’s website www.council.lithgow.nsw.gov.au.
