Lithgow Disability Access Committee formed |
|
The Disability Access Committee (DAC) has been established by Lithgow City Council to identify access needs of people with a disability living in the local government area. It is also responsible for developing Council’s Disability Access Plan in line with current Management and Strategic Plans. The DAC held its first meeting on 28 May 2012 with community representatives and relevant organisational representatives, such as Lithgow Information and Neighbourhood Centre, Uniting Care and Lithgow Health Service as members of the committee. In order to identify the access needs of people with a disability living in the local government area the DAC is requesting the community contact Council with their issues of concern. Submissions can be handed in at Council’s front counter 180 Mort Street, Lithgow, or made via email at council@lithgow.nsw.gov.au. Submissions close on Friday 17 August 2012 at 4pm. If you have any further queries please contact Council’s Community Development Officer, Viktoria Gulabovski on 6355 9999, or via email at council@lithgow.nsw.gov.au. |
