YOUTH ADVISORY COMMITTEE - CALL FOR NOMINATIONS

Nominations are invited for the formation of the 2011-2012 Youth Advisory Committee (YAC).

The YAC has been established by Lithgow City Council to provide advice and direction on youth issues in the local government area. It is also responsible for promoting a positive image of youth in the community and being a ‘voice’ for youth to community leaders.

Becoming a member of the YAC is an opportunity for young people to have their say on issues that are important to them, develop their leadership skills and create a community that is reflective of their needs and aspirations.

To be a member of this committee, young people need to be aged between 14 and 20 years and live, work or attend school in the Lithgow local government area. They will also need to be available to attend at least 9 meetings for the duration of their term.

To nominate a young person please complete the Nomination Form.  Please ensure the young person has accepted the nomination by having them sign the form and return by close of business, Friday 14 October 2011 to:
